The Valencia regional government has formally requested its three provinces (Alicante, Valencia and Castellón) are allowed to enter phase two of the lockdown exit plan that would allow larger social gatherings, the opening of beaches, shopping centres and limited use of bar and restaurant indoor facilities. The ministry of health will announce its decision on Friday and, if approved, will apply the new conditions on Monday, June 1.
