Turtle nesting joy

A loggerhead turtle nested successfully at Calblanque beach near La Manga on Sunday and laid 69 eggs, according to the environmental association ANSE.

It is the first time this endangered species has nested at the protected regional park in a century.

The eggs have been moved to a safer place and will be guarded 24-hours-a-day.
