With agriculture on war footing, the government has announced a one-off payment for 139,756 farmers around Spain amounting to €269 million.
However, the funding has not quelled the rebellious mood of the sector.
They want action taken at a European, national and regional level to fight challenges such as drought, climate change and unfair competition from other parts of the world.
