Action plan over rising boar numbers


Rapidly increasing populations of wild boar in different parts of the Valencia region are causing traffic accidents, ruining farmers’ crops and having an impact on biodiversity, according to the regional department for the ecological transition.

Department chiefs have presented a draft plan to reduce the numbers of this native species, which is coming out of the hills to enter built-up areas.
