BALEÀRIA and Dutch marine firm Ardentia are breaking up the grounded ferry in Dénia port and removing it piece by piece after it wreckage largely sunk during the recent storms.
The Pinar del Río, which ran aground in late August upon its return from Ibiza forcing the evacuation of 393 passengers, has been stuck in the port ever since, but this week’s gale-force winds and monsoons began to break it up.
