Ignoring no-entry signs

I would assume that a Spanish ‘No Entry’ sign (Walker falls through promenade hole, CBN November 1) preventing access to what had obviously be deemed a dangerous path, would be recognizable to the Scandinavian couple, who, in my view, foolishly removed the warning barrier, and continued along the coastline path. Let us be grateful that the lady that fell through the gap, between the path and wall, was not too seriously injured.
Can it be too much to hope, that the couple might feel inclined to donate a few euros to the local police, ambulance and fire brigade, as a way of thanking them, and again, in my view, apologizing for their irresponsible action on the day?
