‘Mini eco-parks’ help cut ‘e-waste’

Recycling has just become easier in Denia – as well as the usual paper, glass and plastic, residents and visitors can now drop off everything from batteries and lightbulbs to old mobile phones and chargers in on-street bins.

Little bigger than a pavement waste basket, the town hall calls them ‘mini eco-parks’ and has labelled seven different slots for various types of household residue which is notoriously hard to dispose of safely.
