Dear editor,
Earlier this year a law was passed banning e-scooters and bicycles from using pedestrian pavements.
In Alicante I have seen no decrease of these vehicles on pavements, some of which travel at fast speeds.
I have yet to see any of these offenders stopped by police.
It is only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or even killed by one of these machines.
It is all very well to pass these laws but when they are not enforced what is the point of them?
Does someone have to die before action is taken.
I was nearly hit by one the other day!
