WITH the Costa del Golf in the midst of its peak season, final preparations are being made for the premier event on this year’s Spanish golfing calendar – the Andalucía Masters tournament, being held at the Real Club Valderrama in Sotogrande this week.
Valderrama’s director general Javier Reviriego said he expects the four-day event – the final stop of the tour in Europe before it moves on to China, Turkey, South Africa and Dubai – will be attended by 40,000 visitors and reach a total of 400 million homes across the globe through media coverage.
