Feral Cats

Dear Editor
I was extremely disappointed with our so called ‘caring council’ here in Javea. There would not be so many feral cats or kittens if responsible people had their own cats neutered – there are so many here that do not, or they dump their own cats when they feel like it.
There is a Feral Cat Charity here that does a great job of catching and neutering cats (over 2,500 to date) and putting them back where they were found, but they still need to be looked after and fed because our council will not. They also try and find homes for some of the kittens where possible.
This organisation does not get any recognition for their work and it’s about time they did.
I for one will continue to give them as much support as I can.
A caring Javea Resident.
