The warmer weather and brighter days are now with us, the restaurants are freshly painted and now reopening for the summer. More residents and visitors are walking along the promenade, and yet again we are subjected to “bicycle dodging”.
While having a refreshing drink on La Fossa beach in Calpe yesterday (Sunday), I counted over 30 Lycra-clad bodies speeding along in groups causing pedestrians to rapidly move out of their way. This is despite signs clearly stating no bicycles allowed. We need the occasional police presence and frequent fining to bring this under control before an accident happens.
