A significant increase in flights over European airspace is being predicted from June 15.

The European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) stated in its network recovery plan that ā€˜traffic is expected to be above 8,000 flights during the second half of June, with a possible increase on some days to up to 8,500 flightsā€™.

According to a press release, they hit ā€˜rock bottomā€™ on April 12 with just 2,099 flights across the network.

European Commissioner for Transport Adina Valean said they have ā€˜defined a set of concrete measures for the safe resumption of air travel within the EUā€™.
