PARENTS of young women currently working as au pairs in Ireland have voiced their concern this week following shocking official and TV reports exposing the exploitation they suffer.
Thousands of young Spanish women work in Ireland as au pairs in order to study English.
However, a TV investigative report broadcast this week on Irish national TV channel RTÉ shows they are being exploited having to pay a fee to get the job, getting less than €120 per week, working without a formal contract and forced to work when sick.
