Property sales boom

FIGURES released this week show that foreign property buyers in Alicante province are pumping an average of €2.25 billion a year into the provincial economy, eclipsing the total export sales of the shoe, toy and marble industries and equivalent to around 8% of the provincial GDP (PIB).
Data compiled by the college of notaries shows that in 2015, foreign buyers spent €2,248 million, a massive 13.4% more than in 2014, when the figure was €1,983 million. The 2015 figure is also 70% higher than in 2010, when it was €1,339 million.
