Heat hastens wine grape harvest

Hot weather this summer in Alicante province has brought the wine grape harvest forward by around two weeks.

This phenomenon is occurring in areas of the Mediterranean which predominantly produce white varieties, such as muscatel or chardonnay, explained the manager of the wines of Alicante protected designation of origin (PDO) regulatory board, Eladio Martín Aniorte.
