The first Easter procession in Spain took place in Cartagena – starting very early on Friday morning.
The brotherhoods which carry the two floats for Viernes de Dolores (Friday of pain) set out at 03.00, passing through the historic quarter of the city.
Despite the early hour, thousands of residents turned out to watch the passage of floats.
