THE SUMMIT of the Ombria d’Alfaro offers wonderful views over large swathes of the mountainous north of Alicante province. The striking Serrella ridge, the twisted peak of the Bernia and Montgó can all be seen, along with a view which stretches north up the coast past Gandía. The ascent is not a difficult one, although fairly steep in places. The walkboard at the entrance to the village of Tollos includes a map which shows part of the route.
