Ignacio Echeverría, the Spanish bank worker who died in June’s terrorist attack on London Bridge, has been posthumously awarded an honorary merit medal by Spain’s National Police. A British Transport Police officer was amongst those being helped by Echeverría when he suffered the stab wounds from which he later died. He has already been awarded the Grand Cross of Civil Merit by the Spanish government.
