Syrian millionaire Monzer Al-Kassaar, who lived in Marbella but was arrested in 2007 on a warrant from the US and in 2009 was convicted of arms trafficking and sentenced to 30 years in prison, has now had his Puerto Banús mansion embargoed. The move was ordered by a Madrid court acting on a US court’s order for his assets to be seized.
