A 72-year-old man died in the swimming pool of a hotel on Avenida del Sol, in Benalmádena, on Saturday afternoon. The 112 emergency line confirmed that an eyewitness raised the alarm, reporting that the man had gone into cardiac arrest in the water. Emergency services were quickly on the scene, but could only confirm the man’s death, and a National Police investigation has been opened.
