Two Marbella police officers on Monday morning rescued an eight-year-old boy and his brother, 15, from a flat in Calle Vega del Mar, which had filled with smoke from a fire in an air-conditioning unit on the balcony. The boys were sleeping at the time and had not yet noticed the smoke. The officers smelled it from the street and went to find its source, then banged on the door until the younger boy opened it.
