The practice of tail-docking dogs, already outlawed in seven regions including Andalucía, is to become illegal across Spain. Parliament has agreed to close a loophole in the country’s adherence to the European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals. All political parties except the Partido Popular have now agreed that the PP’s intention to pass on Article 10 of the convention was unacceptable.
