Spain’s parliament approved the extension of the state of emergency on Wednesday for another two weeks meaning it will run until midnight on Saturday, May 9.
In a speech to the House of Deputies, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez outlined the reasons for the continuation of the emergency measures.
