Alicante firefighters attended 20 emergency incidents during Tuesday’s storms.
A spokesman for the provincial brigade noted that the rain had been ‘very heavy’, with situations occurring ‘from Orihuela to Denia’.
These included rescues due to flooding, pumping water away from flooded areas, and removing fallen trees and electricity cables from roads and streets.
