A ‘double filter’ to prevent rubbish in the River Segura from reaching the protected sand dunes in Guardamar and ending up in the sea has been created by the Segura river and water authority (CHS).
A CHS spokesman said it has finished work to connect an electricity supply for the ‘self-cleaning’ grille that catches floating waste.
