The bones of a ‘large marine mammal’ have been found at Villajoyosa port.
Parts of the giant skeleton had been extracted from the water and ‘abandoned’ by the petrol pump on the dock, according to a Guardia Civil spokesman.
The bones have been taken away for study by biologists from the marine investigation centre (CIMAR) in Santa Pola.
