Government vows to crack down hard on anti-tourism activists at Spain’s holiday hot spots

TOURISM Minister Álvaro Nadal, said on Friday that the government will investigate “tourism-phobia” with “maximum force,” adding, “Spain cannot afford to be perceived as a country hostile to tourists.”

His comments follow a number of incidents against the proliferation of tourism, despite the sector accounting for about 11% of GDP.
