The British Embassy has confirmed that red UK passports will remain valid until they expire.
They made the comments after worried Britons contacted Costa Blanca News over the issue, saying they had been told that they would need to acquire the new British passport.
“What matters is the passport’s validity to travel and not the colour of the cover,” stated an Embassy spokesperson.
