Nerja warns of local services reduction

The resort is in danger of falling below a critical population level which would deny the town an annual €150 per person

NERJA town hall has issued a new plea for residents to prevent the town from losing cash grants from central government.

Nerja presently has 21,500 residents registered on the census (padrón) but residents need to renew their registration from time to time so that an accurate assessment of the population can be sent to Madrid.

Unfortunately, the total is presently in danger of falling below 20,000 at which point dramatic changes could be applied.
