MIJAS town hall has launched a new multilingual campaign urging local residents to sign up on the ‘padrón’, the municipal census that determines a town’s official population, and thus the state funding it receives.
“The goal of the campaign is to achieve the most accurate census possible,” said the town hall’s statistics councillor, María del Carmen González, presenting the initiative along with the councillor for foreigners, Roy Pérez, and members of his department.
