The Valencia government presented its plan for fighting forest fires on Tuesday.
Regional secretary for emergencies José María Ángel said one of the main thrusts was to ‘strengthen spotting from the air’.
With help from the national government, the regional forestry fire service will have six helicopters operating around the region, looking out for blazes in the countryside.
