MORE religious cults are known to be active in the Marina Alta and Marina Baixa than anywhere else in Spain, according to recent research sparked by the discovery of three bodies in bags with witchcraft objects in the sea off Calpe rock.
Experts say the Calpe bodies are just the tip of the iceberg as over 200 religious sects, including 40 devil-worship groups, are known to exist in the province.
