TALKS are under way over how to solve this summer’s inevitable water crisis in the Marina Alta – and Jávea’s system could be key.
The desalination plant takes water from the sea, purifies it and channels it to the mains, meaning Jávea can guarantee an on-tap drinkable supply year-round.
But Llíber and Jalón have already run dry, two months ahead of schedule.
