A hundred kilometres of Málaga’s coastline can now be enjoyed by walkers or cyclists as work progresses on the Senda Litoral, which will eventually connect the entire 162.7 kilometres of the province’s shoreline, said the Diputación de Málaga last week.
Provincial government president Elías Bendodo gave the figures during a visit to Estepona, where work is starting on a new stretch of the path.
Mayor José María García Urbano said that when this new, roughly 100-metre section between Alcazaba Beach and Los Pinillos is finished, the coastal path in the town will be over half complete, and the goal is for the rest to be done by year end, connecting Estepona’s entire 23 kilometres of coastline.
