THE THREE-day walk described over previous weeks took the protagonist into the glacial heart of the Pyrenees.
The route circled the highest peaks in the mountain chain – the awe-inspiring Maladeta Massif. The first two days are hard going and are ‘all-dayers’. For that reason good conditions are needed to make sure the route can be completed safely and without wasting time due to snow or heavy rain.
