THIS walk is the shortest of the routes up Aitana, Alicante’s highest mountain at 1,558 metres. Starting from the Font de L’Arbre picnic area, it’s a pleasant stroll to another natural spring, the Font de Forata – an elongated water trough in a wonderful high-mountain area, before the steep climb to the summit ridge.
