A 24-metre tall pine tree was blown over by high winds in Benalmádena last Saturday, near a children’s playpark in the town’s Gamonal area. It took fire-fighters almost two hours, until 3.30pm, to remove the tree. Thankfully no-one was injured, and no material damage was caused. Wind speeds of 50kmh were recorded in the town on Saturday.
