The Costa del Sol has more sunny days every year than anywhere else in Spain, according to a new study of 30 years of statistics from AEMAT. The State Meteorological Agency says the coast enjoys 2,905 hours of sun annually, compared with 2,822 hours in the second-placed Canary Islands. The province of Málaga, however, clocks up 3,000 hours followed by Almería’s 2,994 and Granada’s 2,917.
