The president of a group campaigning for the legalisation of homes in the Almanzora valley received the MBE awarded to her by HM Queen Elizabeth from the UK’s ambassador to Spain, Simon Manley, last Thursday. Maura Hillen of AUAN has been fighting for the rights of property owners for over 15 years. Mr Manley described her as an “ambassador” for expats in Spain.
