Marbella fire-fighters last week came to the rescue of an unnamed Irish man whose leg had been pierced by two arrow-shaped metal bars on a fence outside a local hotel, said the town hall. The ‘bomberos’ set up a scaffold and paramedics attended the man while the fire-fighters cut the metal bars, which they left in his leg as he was taken by ambulance to the Costa del Sol hospital to have them surgically removed.
