The Junta de Andalucía’s Environment chief, José Fiscal, stated last week that the Junta would study ways to help fund repairs to Campillos’s problematic water supply network. The Junta had previously said it was the sole responsibility of the town hall, but Sr Fiscal acknowledged that removal of old asbestos-containing pipes, such as those in the Campillos network, also falls under the Junta’s jurisdiction.
