An investigation has opened at a Madrid hospital into the death of a man on Christmas Eve. He collapsed at a taxi rank 50 metres from the entrance to the Hospital Universitario Quirón de Pozuelo but the taxi driver’s call for help produced no response from staff. Instead, an ambulance arrived nine minutes later by which time the victim had died.
