Work has started on the installation of two glass lifts in Mijas Pueblo. Officials said the project has been launched earlier than planned, in order to coincide with ongoing work in Plaza Virgen de la Peña and reduce the impact on local businesses. One of the lifts is adjacent to the municipal car park, and the other by the stairs from the plaza up to Avenida del Compás.
