A 50-year-old man died from smoke inhalation and his mother was hospitalised following a fire in an eighth floor apartment of a 15-storey block in the Ciudad Jardin district of Málaga on Monday morning. Three fire-fighters were also treated for the effects of smoke. Rescuers say they heard the woman shouting for help but she could not find keys to unlock her front door.
