A man was detained in Arahal, near Sevilla, on Monday on suspicion of murdering his mother and sister. The 34-year-old suspect, who has a drugs problem, was found suffering serious knife injuries to the abdomen, believed to have been self-inflicted after the woman died that morning. The blood-covered scene was discovered by his brother who called at the house later in the day.
