Dialysis Waning

The union Sindicato Médico has warned that peritoneal dialysis may have to be suspended at Málaga’s Carlos Haya hospital because of staff shortages. Patients would instead have to travel to Córdoba, Sevilla or Granada, it says. In a statement, the union claims staff numbers have not risen to meet an increase in activity, and now cannot cover sick leave or vacant positions.
