A motorcyclist was left needing treatment for a leg injury on Saturday July 22, after he was hit by a car driven by one of Benalmádena’s councillors, Beatriz Olmedo. According to reports, Sra Olmedo made an improper turn at a roundabout not yet open to traffic on Avenida Antonio Machado, near the hotel Riviera. The councillor underwent voluntary blood alcohol tests, which came back negative, and the man was later discharged from hospital.
