A wildfire that started last Friday night on a mountainside just outside Casarabonela was contained by firefighters overnight and declared fully extinguished at 9am on Saturday, having burned around 3,000 square metres of scrub. Over 30 firefighters from the Infoca wildfire brigade and the provincial fire service tackled the blaze.
