Ronda’s town hall last week approved a spend of more than €16,000 on new video surveillance cameras, to help enforce the traffic restrictions over the town’s Puente Nuevo that came into effect last month. Between 10am-1.30pm and 5pm-8pm daily, the bridge is now closed to most traffic, and once installed and operational the cameras will scan licence plates of vehicles to ensure they are allowed to pass.
