Fuengirola’s beaches are to be in prime shape for the summer season, after 23,000 cubic metres of sand were taken from the estuary of the town’s river and placed on the Santa Amalia and San Francisco beaches. The local council works began last Wednesday, April 13, after technicians from prívate company Acciona were contracted to pinpoint areas where sand was needed to rengerate the beach. The works are expected to be completed by tomorrow, April 22.
